Ingredients

  • 1 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or NY strip, 1–1½ inches thick)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

Directions

  1. Take the steak out of the fridge 15–20 minutes before cooking and pat dry.
  2. Rub both sides with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes.
  4. Place steaks in the basket in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 4–5 minutes, flip, then cook another 4–5 minutes.
  6. Check doneness. Add 1–2 minutes per side if needed.
  7. Rest steaks for 5 minutes before slicing.
